Oodie’s cooling pyjamas have been hailed by fans for how effective they are at dropping your body temperature while you sleep and they’re now on sale down from £39 to £23
If the heatwave has been ruining your sleep recently and you’re fed up feeling hot, sweaty and uncomfortable at night, then a pair of cooling pyjamas might well be the saviour you’ve been looking for. Although Oodie might be known for its cosy oversized hoodies, the brand also has its very own range of cooling pyjama sets that help bring your body temperature down while you sleep.
They come in a variety of prints and colourways, but this cloud-covered set has just been slashed by 40% in the sale, making it even more affordable. You can pick up both pieces of the set – the T-shirt and shorts – separately, with each one slashed from £39 to £23.40.

Both items come in sizes small to 3XL, and you can also pick up a warming version of them too for the winter – although we doubt you’ll be wanting to snap them up any time soon. The cooling PJs work by bringing your body temperature down when you start to overheat and are breathable enough to keep air circulating, preventing sweating.
They’re made from a modal blend material which is naturally cooling and silky to the touch, and is 21% more breathable than regular cotton jersey according to Oodie. As well as keeping you cool, the cooling pyjamas have also been designed to maximise comfort while you sleep too, with four way stretch and a buttery soft feel.
The T-shirt has been designed with a crew neck and a slightly oversized fit which is comfortable without bunching up, or if you prefer a little more coverage without overheating, you can also pick up a long sleeve version that’s now £27 down from £45 in the summer sale. Meanwhile the shorts have an elasticated waistband which keeps them secure and stops them slipping and sliding around while you walk to sleep, and a barely-there feel for maximum comfort.
If you want to save your budget a little, this Coolmax Pyjama Set is just £29.99 for both pieces, with a choice of three neutral colours and a simple shorts and T-shirt design. The set is made with Coolmax fibre, which is designed to wick moisture away from the body to keep you dry, cool and comfy at night.
Alternatively, Marks & Spencer has its own version of the cooling pyjamas, with the Cool Comfort Cotton Modal Pyjama Set priced at £30 for a pair of full-length trousers and a button-up short sleeved shirt-style top. They come in black with a white piped design around the hems for a more elevated look, and are made from a soft cotton-modal with Cool Comfort™ technology to help keep you cool as you sleep.
However Oodie fans seem just as enthusiastic about the cooling pyjamas as they are about the oversized cosy hoodies. One reviewer wrote: “I love these PJs, got the matching set – great feel, and keeps me so cool. Wear them all the time!”
Another agreed: “I always run hot a night and these help me keep cooler. So so comfortable.”
Some shoppers did warn that sizing can be tricky, with one writing: “Material is so soft and comfy. I bought the wrong size (S) thinking it will be the same as previous pyjama sizes. It was very tight on me so I won’t be able to use it unless I lose a lot of weight. My mistake for not checking the measurements.”
Another customer added: “I bought these in the same size I bought the long-leg love heart cooling pjs but the waistband on these is significantly tighter and slightly uncomfortable. I wish the waistband on the shorts was the same as the drawstring-style the long leg cooling pyjama bottoms.”
However the cooling pyjamas still have plenty of fans. One said: “Love these shortie pj bottoms as they do really make you feel cooler, as a woman going through menopause I really needed them. My only criticism is I wish they were a little bit longer.”
And another praised them: “These are the best pjs I’ve ever worn. They are so lightweight and comfortable. I am no longer sweating at night! It’s the first time I have found pjs that actually keep me cool and comfortable at night. I highly recommend these amazingly wonderful pjs!!”
