Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed to death yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services had rushed to Swanage Road, in Small Heath, Birmingham at 6.40pm yesterday, Saturday, December 20.
A man was declared dead at the scene, cops said. A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
In a statement, police said: “A murder investigation is underway after we were called to reports of a stabbing at an address on Swanage Road, shortly after 6.40pm last night (20 Dec).
“Tragically, nothing could be done to save the man and he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“A man aged, 28, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
“We are in the early stages of our investigation, and a scene remains in place while we carry out urgent enquiries in the area to establish exactly what happened.
