This Amazon sale has axed the GHD Gold Hair Straightener & Styler by 35%, bringing its price all the way down from £199 to £129.99 while this offer lasts.
This versatile hair straightener boasts a rounded barrel – ideal for those who like curling their hair – and floating plates engineered to help avoid snagging. Whilst the gadget isn’t actually gold, its name comes from being of ‘a gold standard’ as it’s said to deliver hair with 65% more shine.
Unlike temperature-management devices, which boasts over 10 different settings, the Gold GHD straighteners feature just a single option. Each ceramic plate contains heat sensors to ensure steady styling at 185°C, although there’s no ability to modify the temperature. This is, nevertheless, purported to be ideal for creating a root-to-tip ‘salon-smooth’ result.
Shoppers who picked up these GHD straighteners can’t stop singing their praises, as one buyer beams: “I bought these to replace my old ghd’s and was not disappointed. I thought my old ones were good but these are brilliant! They go through your hair so smoothly at first I thought I hadn’t turned them on but they left my hair straight, shiny and smooth. Would definitely recommend.”
Another shopper shares: “I have never used straighteners before but as I have my grandaughters living with me now I thought I should have some. This photo is my first attempt on the youngest and we are both very pleased with how easy they are to use and how quickly they make nice bouncy curls.”
They continue, saying: “I am happy that I chose good quality ghd instead of cheaper ones. I hope they are a good investment as I would not normally pay this much and hope they will last a long time. They are so much easier and quicker to use than the curling tongs I used to use years ago which made my arms and wrists ache having to hold them up so long. These straighteners heat up immediately and are so lightweight that using them is effortless. So far I am impressed with quality, value for money and ease of use.”
This reviewer raves: “These straighteners are much smaller and slimmer than my previous ones, but made short work of my nightmare hair! (It is the kind that tends to swing between making me look like a 1980’s newsreader and a windswept Shetland pony). Although straighteners are a little expensive, given how effective these were, and how long the results lasted with my hair’s general “You can’t tame me!” attitude, they are well worth the money. They just seem to glide over the wildest bits and are so easy to use.”
And a fourther customer comments: “It is very unlike me to write a review, but these straighteners are superb. I have wavy hair and need to straighten it. The description is true to word. My hair really does feel like I have been to the hairdresser for a professional blow dry. Totally worth every penny.”
Despite the accolades, these GHD straighteners still retail for a fairly high price.
