A savvy Vinted seller has shared three items that are highly sought-after in March – and it’s not just clothes that are in demand. Here’s what you need to know…
If you’re hoping to make some decent cash this March, then pay attention. You could be sat on a minor goldmine without knowing it – as there are products that are incredibly popular on Vinted.
A top seller called Laura shared some useful tips online. She wanted to give people “enough time to get your stock together” so you can absolutely nail it in the third month of the year.
If you have three specific items, the Vinted seller suggests listing them soon if you want to be raking in the cash by the time the end of March rolls around. So here’s everything you need to know…
1. St Patrick’s Day items
March 17 is all about honouring the patron saint of Ireland. So in advance of the celebrations, Laura predicts people will be searching for St Patrick’s Day-themed merchandise.
She said: “I would actually start listing these right at the beginning of March.” The items she suggests promoting in the coming weeks include decorations, accessories and clothing.
Laura added: “So we’re thinking four-leaf clover decorations. If you’ve got any jewellery with four-leaf clovers on that you wanna get rid of, anything green and white in your wardrobe that you wanna get rid of, this is the time to do it.
“Whether it’s socks, whether it’s hats, it could be novelty stuff, or it can be more serious things, but people will be specifically searching for green and white.
“So if you’ve got anything green and white in your wardrobe, March is gonna be your time to clear it out.”
2. Layering pieces
The coldest months are coming to an end, prompting many to refresh their clothing choices. Laura noted that people are “over” their bulky outerwear and prefer to dress in layers now.
She said: “People want to start layering instead of wearing all these huge, massive, padded coats […] people wanna start getting ready to get out of that”.
This includes pieces such as “trench coats, bomber jackets, cardigans, and long sleeve tops”. According to her, it’s also an ideal moment to “sell jeans” as springtime approaches because “people are ready to be done with all the heavy clothing”.
3. Easter-themed products
Easter lands on Sunday, April 5, this year, which is “pretty early”. Therefore, it’s wise to list your seasonal goods as quickly as possible, enabling shoppers to purchase items from roughly the “middle of March”.
Laura explained: “Throughout March, we wanna have our Easter stuff up [and] this encompasses so many things. This could be like Easter decor – so think Easter wreaths, little eggs that people put out, or them jars that are shaped like an Easter egg… General decorations that you can hang around for your kids.”
The Vinted user encouraged people to examine items they’ve got “sitting around” – from vintage Easter egg baskets to various keepsakes. Despite being cheap and cheerful, these might actually fetch a decent return.
To maximise your sales potential, shrewd Laura suggested browsing charity shops for additional finds. You never know, you might be able to flip them for considerably more cash.
