Shoppers can still pick up all of the luxurious goodies inside this year’s Selfridges Beauty Advent Calendar – including skincare buys from Charlotte Tilbury, Elemis and Murad
As a shopping editor at the Mirror, I can’t get enough of beauty advent calendars. Last month our beauty team unboxed several Christmas countdowns from the likes of LookFantastic, The Body Shop, Glossybox and Benefit, to name a few.
Although I was impressed with every festive offering I opened up, there’s one that really knocked it out of the park with its premium products. I recently unboxed the Selfridges Beauty Advent Calendar, which is sadly sold out, and was smiling from ear to ear when opening each door.
The luxurious contents would cost you more than £1,000 if purchased separately, but this spectacular countdown meant you could get them for £250, saving you over £750. The good news is you can still shop every item that was tucked neatly inside – keep scrolling to find out more.

As expected, the iconic department store’s 2024 advent calendar features a whole host of big-name brands, and offered a bit of cheer for each day in the run-up to Christmas. Behind its 25 drawers, there were a total of 38 products inside – 22 of which came in full-sized formats. There was also a gift card included.
So, what products made it really special for me? My favourite part about Selfridges’ spectacular countdown was the amount of fragrances it contained – there were six scents inside. I was excited to finally get my hands on Sol de Janeiro’s 90ml Cheirosa ’40 Fragrance Mist (worth £24), which which is a rich blend of gourmand notes, including black amber plum, crème de cassis, Brazilian orchid, vanilla woods and musk.
Anti-ageing skincare fans were definitely spoiled for choice as well, with formulas like the Murad 30ml Retinol Youth Renewal Serum (worth £92) included and Dr. Sturm’s 20ml Super Anti-Aging Cleansing Cream (worth £45). Out of all the skincare products inside the calendar, it was Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Water Cream Moisturiser that found perfect for my combination skin.
The Selfridges countdown provided a 15ml travel-sized version of this Charlotte Tilbury wonder, worth £26. Fragrance-free and wonderfully lightweight, the gel-cream formula is packed with vitamins C and E, along with hydrating hyaluronic acid and balancing niacinamide.
I found the Magic Water Cream Moisturiser perfect for wearing under makeup, especially when the skin is in need of a hydration boost. The only downside, for me, was that it felt a tad sticky. However, this didn’t put me off using it again. It’s the perfect cream to achieve that coveted ‘glass skin’ look.

Which beauty advent calendars are still available?
With beauty advent calendars being a great way to save on much-loved makeup, skincare, haircare and more, it’s little wonder that some people are still keen to bag one after December has already begun.
Thankfully, there are still some fabulous beauty countdowns available to buy. ESPA’s Wellness Wonders Collection, worth £371, is still in stock on its website, as well as at LookFantastic, for a reduced price of £117 (was £195). You can read more about this here.
Meanwhile, this Fenwick 12 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar can still be purchased on the department store’s website for £200 – and it gets you £800 worth of premium beauty buys. Our Senior Fashion and Beauty Writer Bethan has provided more info on this seasonal offering, here.
