Cashback giant Quidco is currently offering cashback deals on big supermarket brands including Sainsbury’s, M&S, Tesco and Morrisons – but those aren’t the only savings to be made
Canny Brits keen to make their cash go further can earn money by doing their weekly shop, buying a train ticket or ordering a takeaway.
Quidco is a cashback platform that is the perfect antidote to the cost of living squeeze, as it is not only incredibly easy to use, but you could earn money on your everyday shopping.
Once you have signed up for the site – which is free – the cashback giant gives you a chunk of money back every time you spend with the more than 5,000 retailers on its books. And they’re far from obscure brands.
If you buy groceries through the likes of Sainsbury’s, M&S, Tesco and Morrisons, you could find a sizeable amount of money dropping into your Quidco account later on. And the best thing is, there are no limits to how much you can earn, although the average active member can earn around £300 a year.
How does it work?
First of all, you need to sign up for a Quidco account. This is completely free unless you opt for the premium option, which gives you boosted cashback deals and costs just £1 for every month you use it, and costs nothing for every month you don’t. You then have to spend money with any of the retailers on the scheme. If your first purchase is within 30 days of signing up and is £5 or more, you’ll not only receive cashback on that purchase but also a £15 bonus straight into your Quidco account.
Then you can surf the Quidco website for some of the great deals that are on offer there and – if you buy them through the link provided on the site – you’ll get a chunk of the purchase price back in your account. If you ever find a deal online on another site, it is always worth checking if it’s on Quidco as you only get the cashback if you buy through it.
The company pays out in cash, but you can maximise your earnings by up to 20% if you agree to take them in gift cards. There’s more good news too as Quidco is currently offering £15 cashback for new members. Cashback rates are right at the time of writing, but can change.
What can I buy?
Right now there are hundreds of excellent offers on the Quidco site from a whole range of retailers, so it is well worth checking them out. They include:
- up to 7.5% off TUI hotels
- £4.50 off Morrisons shops of £40 or more
- Up to 20% off a railcard bought with Trainline
- Up to 4% off bargain Travelodge rooms costing just £35
- A full 9% off some Lego buys
Fashion fans will be spoiled for choice with big brands such as Nike, ASOS, Dorothy Perkins, New Look, Boohoo, River Island and PrettyLittleThing, while those looking to get away from it all for a while can get money back when booking Hotels.com, Expedia, Lastminute.com, Netflights and On the Beach! breaks.
Customers who download the Quidco app can search by cashback rates and for discounts and vouchers that might work for you, depending on what bargains you’re looking for.
