Many shoppers will be looking to find ways to stay cosy and warm this winter, without putting the heating on – and electric blankets might be the perfect solution. There’s one available from Yimbly at the moment and shoppers can get £30 off.

The Livivo Electric Heated Blanket Grey Micro Fleece With Timer And Safety is currently available from Yimbly for £39.99, reduced from £69.99. Yimbly is an online market place owned by the Mirror’s parent company Reach Plc. The brand says users can stay warm this winter from as little as ‘3p an hour’.

The ‘silky smooth fleece blanket’ measures 160 x 130cm, with one shopper saying it’s ‘big enough for two’, and it has nine heat settings. It also has a safety timer that can be set between one to nine hours.

The product is also washing machine friendly. Shoppers just need to detach the remote first.

An alternative is the new Silentnight Luxury Heated Throw in Sage Green from Argos, which is priced at £60. This has nine heat settings, a 15 minute heat-up time, a timer with an auto shut-off function and claims to have ‘low energy consumption’.

Lakeland also has its new StaySnug Bubble Faux Fur Heated Throw, available for £59.99. This has nine heat settings, nine timer settings with an auto shut-off function, and it’s machine washable with a detachable control.
