As the scorching heatwave shows no sign of letting up, households up and down the country are desperately seeking ways to stay cool. Fans are the go-to solution, and right now savvy shoppers can snap up some cracking deals on Amazon.

The retail giant is running its Prime Day Deals extravaganza until Friday, June 26, with some impressive discounts on fans. One of the standout bargains is the Morphy Richards Airflex Portable Oscillating Fan, now just £29.99, slashed down from £39.99.

The cordless fan charges via USB and delivers an impressive 17 hours of use on a single charge. It’s also foldable for convenient storage and can even be wall-mounted.

The Morphy Richards Airflex Portable Oscillating Fan measures six inches and features three speeds, controlled via a touch panel. It also boasts a ‘quiet and powerful’ performance, making it perfectly suited for use overnight or as a desk fan during working hours.

The fan comes in two colours — white and black — both reduced to £29.99 as part of the Amazon Prime Day Deals. However, time is running out for bargain hunters, as the sale wraps up on Friday, June 26, reports Wales Online.

In another Amazon deal, the Philips Pedestal Fan Series 2000 has been cut to £56.05, down from £69.99, also until Friday, June 26. Boasting three speed settings and a sleep mode, it can also be converted from a pedestal fan to a tabletop device using its extendable stand.

Meanwhile, Argos is offering a £35 Bush White Tower Fan. The 28-inch tower fan features three speed settings and a choice between static or oscillating airflow.

Meanwhile, the Morphy Richards Airflex Portable Oscillating Fan has earned itself an ‘Amazon Choice’ badge, with more than 700 units snapped up in the last month alone. One satisfied customer said: “Quiet but efficient fan. Ideal to use on kitchen worktop, table or bedside.”

Another happy shopper left a glowing in-depth review, writing: “Perfect for the heat. I bought the Morphy Richards 6-inch fan last month, and honestly, it has been great. It is a really moderate size, so it sits perfectly on my desk without taking over the whole space, but it still gives me the airflow I want.”

They went on to add: “The build quality feels super durable, and it has been holding up perfectly with daily use. I am also really impressed with the battery-it lasts so well on a single charge that I can easily move it around wherever I need it without hunting for a plug.”

A third purchaser was largely impressed but flagged some concerns over the control buttons, noting: “Compact and very efficient, also very quiet at the slow speeds. The touch-sensitive control buttons are a little hard to get used to. A light finger touch, rather than a firm press seems to work better. Have already used this fan in the bedroom during a heatwave. Looking forward to using it in our campervan.”

Yet another buyer was far more enthusiastic, enthusing: “Honestly, so happy with my new fan! ! Bought it ahead of the upcoming heatwave and I’m so glad I did. It’s not noisy, so it’s nice to have on whilst sleeping, would definitely recommend.

“Quiet and efficient. Wide span when oscillating. The charge last around three hours on full power. Light and easily portable. A lifesaver when in non-air-conditioned accommodation on the hottest weekend of the year!” remarked one delighted shopper.

Similarly, another satisfied customer wrote: “Absolute God send. I bought it a few weeks back, as we’re going on our first-ever caravan holiday during a heat wave. It was the best thing I could’ve done. Now we’re having a second heatwave, it sits nicely on my bedside table, it’s lovely and quiet at night.”

A final buyer concluded: “Fantastic little fan! Love that it’s portable and USB-charged. Also more powerful than it looks and folds away neatly. Not noisy!”.
