The Princess of Wales wore a cashmere snood with £40 off to keep her warm and cosy during Storm Chandra and it hails from Claudia Winkleman’s go-to brand on The Traitors
Today, Kate Middleton wrapped up in her best countryside chic attire during a guided walk in the Peak District with members of the Mind Over Mountains charity. For the outdoor adventure, the Princess of Wales bundled up against Storm Chandra in a waxed jacket and tweed cap, finished off with what looks to be a cosy cashmere snood from Scottish brand Brora.
Her snood isn’t just cosy and practical, but it also has a subtle nod to one of our favourite sources of winter style inspiration; Claudia Winkleman. Princess Kate and The Traitors’ host might have two very different aesthetics, but it turns out cashmere from Brora is where their style overlaps.
‘Fabulous and warm’ waterproof changing robe slashed from £120 to just £48 and comes in 18 colours
Kate Garraway’s ‘beautiful and classy’ colour block midi dress from GMB is now 20% off
Although Princess Kate wore a design from 2018, Brora still makes her Cashmere Cable Snood in other colourways, and it’s currently on sale down from £159 to £115. You can choose from conker brown or a teal blue shade, both of which are on sale and are unisex designs.
For those who don’t know, Brora is also the go-to brand for almost all of Claudia’s signature Cashmere Fingerless Gloves that she wears during every episode of The Traitors. As with the gloves, Kate’s snood is also made from 100% Scottish cashmere which makes it super cosy and warm whilst still being breathable and stopping you from getting sweaty.
The Cashmere Cable Snood has a subtle cable knit pattern woven throughout it, which gives it that traditional classic look that Kate’s style is known for. If you want a similar style that won’t break the bank, Jigsaw has slashed its Wool Cashmere Blend Rib Snood by 40%, bringing it down from £49 to £29.
For a true layering piece, we also love this Ribbed Cashmere Snood in Black from Loop, which has a huge £200 off bringing it down from £300 to £99. It has a high neck and a wide panel which layers underneath jumpers, shirts and T-shirts to keep you extra warm, or could be layered on top of other pieces.
Meanwhile at LilySilk, the Cashmere Balaclava is £89 is ideal if you want to stay warm from the top of your head down, helping keep your ears, cheeks, chin and neck warm. You can wear it underneath hoods for some added warmth or tucked into jumpers or coats as a makeshift hood if your jacket doesn’t have one.
However, considering Brora’s cashmere pieces come approved by both the Princess of Wales and Claudia Winkleman, it’s safe to say that the Cashmere Cable Snood will be making its way straight into our shopping baskets.
