Mike married into the Royal Family when he wed Zara in 2011, and he revealed how he refers to his mother-in-law.

When speaking about how his mother-in-law had been the patron of the Scottish Rugby Union for decades, he said: “It was more important to showcase why they like sport, why Princess Anne has been a patron for 37 years and why she loves the characters in the game. It accepts all fans and they come from all sides.”
Mike shared some interesting informalities of the Royal Family following intense the late Queen Elizabeth II’s private life. In his book, Mike said: “Her life wasn’t like an episode of ‘Downton Abbey’, with meals on long tables and everyone dressed in their finery every night.”
Mike proposed to his wife in December 2010 following 10 years of dating and the pair now have three children – Mia, 10, Lena, six, and three-year-old Lucas. While the couple have no official titles and are not supported financially by the Crown, they are believed to be work an estimated £30 million, according to Hello! Magazine.
