Fans of Primark are rushing to get their hands on a gorgeous gift set that smells just like a much more expensive product that people can’t get enough of. And it’s clear to see why everyone’s so excited, as consumers could save some serious money at the high-street store.
Rhiain Hudson was utterly stunned when she stumbled upon items that bore a striking resemblance to OUAI’s skincare set, remarking that the fragrance also resembled it.
The beauty enthusiast, who describes herself as “obsessed with make-up”, acknowledges that the luxury originals are “worth your money”. However, the Primark alternatives are a great if you’re feeling the pinch.
She thought they looked “really familiar” when she spotted them on the shelves — and was left even more astonished when she caught a whiff of the fragrances.
Inside the £7 Primark set, there’s a glow body wash, a body butter and a fragrance, which Rhiain reckons represents excellent value for money.
The three-piece PS… Golden Veil Body Care Set is said to mirror the St Bart’s Travel Kit from OUAI, which features “a travel size Body Cleanser, Body Crème, Scalp and Body Scrub and Hair and Body Mist in our tropical St. Barts scent”.
You get a greater quantity with the OUAI version, but if you’re considering whether to commit to the larger purchase — perhaps because you’ve never sampled the fragrance before — it might be worth grabbing the £7 option from Primark in the meantime, simply to see if it’s for you.
Rhiain also revealed that other travel sets were available, featuring claw clips and spatulas — the very accessories that designer brand Tacha includes with their full-sized moisturisers, lending them a more premium feel.
Primark is currently stocking towels, hair turbans, and body-washing loofahs as well. And if the travel set doesn’t appeal to you, and you’d prefer something a little larger, jumbo versions of the products are available for just £4.
“I love expensive s***, but I also love bagging myself a bargain as well,” Rhiain told her followers, encouraging them to pop down to their nearest Primark branch and take a look for themselves.
