The store might just have introduced the ‘top of the summer’ with an £8 style that’s likely to be a hit with shoppers
With more hot weather on the way, shoppers are searching for stylish but cool clothing. Thankfully, there’s no shortage of options for fashion fans who prefer short-sleeved, cap-sleeved, and sleeveless silhouettes for the summer.
A growing trend among retailers is offering clothing with built-in bras. This is much to the delight of shoppers who want to cut down on layers in hot weather or hide bra straps, which can be tricky if you opt for a cami top or similar style with thin straps.
Primark is the latest store that’s delighting shoppers with its built-in bra selection, bringing back a popular style that was a hit around this time last year. As seen on the @primark_eastkilbride page on TikTok, shoppers can pick up a white, black or pink sleeveless top with a built-in bra for £8 each. There’s also a new strapless option.
The account wrote: “The tops of the summer are back… and they brought a new friend.” The video racked up thousands of views, and commenters tagged fellow social media users to show off the styles.
Shoppers previously praised Primark’s “life changing” design when it introduced a £14 dress with a built-in bra. Reacting to a video of the dress on the retailer’s TikTok page, many commenters loved the style.
For instance, someone said: “Just bought one for summer. It will look so nice when dressed up a little.” Another response read: “I’m 32 weeks pregnant and love these dresses. They are super comfortable!”
A different commenter wrote: “I wish we had this in my country. It would be a life saving.” Meanwhile, a shopper said: “Are the cups like the vest top version? They’re brilliant so I’m hopeful.”
However, someone commented: “For people who are like a C cup and above I highly doubt that’ll do the job has anybody tried it?” A viewer replied: “I got the vest top and its got a crop top attached under and that just doesnt sit in the right place for me I’m a 36G.
“For me I needed it another 2 inches longer for it to actually sit flat and in the right place.” A second commenter said: “Yeah, I’m a double d and it barely covers anything,” but another replied: “I’m double d and they’re fine.. I guess it also depends on your band size.” Someone added: “I’m a F cup and they work brilliant for me.”
For shoppers keen to shop the £8 tops, it doesn’t look like the style is currently available on Primark’s website. You can find your nearest Primark store here.
However, Primark’s website does offer a Built-in Bra Cami Top for £8, which shoppers can click and collect. The top is available in four colours. It differs from the plain top showcased in the TikTok video in that it has thinner straps, a lace trim and a small bow.
