A number of police vehicles have been called to a residential street following reports of a shooting on Sunday (February 15).
Units from Greater Manchester Police, including forensic teams, were called to the scene on School House Road in Oldham. It’s understood a property was targeted in a shooting involving a firearm.
A large scene was put in place, including on Roundthorn Road. Photos form the scene show police tape sealed off the street amid ongoing investigations, with forensic officers seen focusing on one property.
One nearby resident told the Manchester Evening News CSI officers in white suits spent a number of hours conducting enquiries.
Videos posted on social media showed police vans and cars in attendance on Roundthorn Road at the junction with Aspull Street. The latest incident follows a stabbing and another attack in the Greater Manchester borough in a matter of days.
Police are continuing to investigate a spate of violent incidents in the Chadderton and Coldhurst areas last Thursday evening (February 12). Further details about the nature of the incident on Sunday have not yet been confirmed.
