Armed officers have been called to two schools after a young person was reportedly seen carrying a knife.
Multiple witnesses claimed riot police were present at schools in Plymouth, Devon, and pupils were being told to remain on site.
One person said: “Armed police at Shakespeare Primary School and All Saints Academy in Honicknowle. Three police guards at All Saints pupil entrance and two armed guards at Shakespeare”.
