The former wife of Princess Anne’s son has found love with a wealthy property tycoon, as her ex-husband announced the date of his upcoming wedding to NHS nurse Harriet Sperling
The son of Princess Anne has announced the date of his upcoming wedding to NHS nurse Harriet Sperling, two years after they first started dating. However, it will not be the first marriage for Peter Phillips, as he has tied the knot before.
Peter married his first wife, Canadian-born Autumn Kelly, back in May 2008 in a grand ceremony at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, with guests including the late Queen and Prince Philip as well as his cousin Prince Harry, although Prince William was unable to attend. Despite not yet being married, Princess Kate attended the nuptials, with many believing it was her first time meeting the late Queen.

The couple spent time living in Hong Kong through Peter’s previous job with the Royal Bank of Scotland and eventually settled back in the UK with their two daughters Savannah, 14, the late Queen’s oldest great-grandchild and Isla, 13.
However, in February 2020, the couple announced they would be separating after their 12-year marriage. Their divorce was finalised “amicably” and they released a statement explaining: “Whilst this is a sad day for Peter and Autumn, they continue to put the wellbeing and upbringing of their wonderful daughters Savannah and Isla first and foremost.
“Both Peter and Autumn are pleased to have resolved matters amicably with the children firmly at the forefront of those thoughts and decisions. Peter and Autumn have requested privacy and consideration for their children as the family adapts to a new chapter in their lives.”
Just one year after their divorce, rumours began to emerge that Autumn had struck up a romance with wealthy Irish property tycoon Donal Mulryan. The couple had known each other for several years, and Mulryan was in the midst of a separation from his previous wife when the romance rumours started.
Autumn and Donal made their public debut as a couple at the Cirencester horse trials in March 2022, with the couple appearing alongside Autumn’s former sister-in-law, Zara Tindall, and her family.
Since then, the couple have been spotted at numerous events together, including Cheltenham races which are also attended by the royals. Autumn and Peter are believed to still have a good relationship as they co-parent their daughters.
In 2022, Peter and Autumn attended the same wedding, with Autumn bringing Donal to the event while Peter was joined by his then-girlfriend Lindsay Wallace. The nuptials were for William Hosier and Stephanie Phillips – the daughter of Peter’s father Captain Mark Phillips and his second wife Sandy Pflueger.
Earlier today, Peter Phillips announced the date of his upcoming wedding to Harriet Sperling, two years after the pair started dating. The couple will tie the knot at All Saints Church, Kemble, Cirencester, on Saturday June 6, in a private ceremony. Both families have been informed jointly of the summer wedding date by invitation.
The couple say that the King and Queen as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales have also been informed of the joyous announcement and that further details will be announced in due course. The news comes after the couple announced their engagement in August last year.
