Police have arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of sexual assault following the alleged incident at the O2 arena during a concert by American rapper Gunna

A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault after footage circulated online showed a woman in distress following an alleged incident at the O2.

The video was reported to have been filmed in the crowd at the venue in South London during a concert by American rapper Gunna last night.

In a new statement tonight, Met Police said a woman in her 20s was “approached from behind” by a 26-year-old man who “sexually assaulted her”. Police officers arrested him at the venue after he was stopped by venue staff, and he remained in custody this evening.

A force spokesperson told the Mirror: “A man has been arrested following a sexual assault in south London.

“At around 20:20hrs Wednesday, 25 March, police were called to the O2 Arena in Greenwich by venue management.

“A woman, aged in her 20s, was approached from behind by a man, who sexually assaulted her.

“Officers were already at the venue, and swiftly arrested a 26-year-old man who had been apprehended by venue staff.

“He was taken into custody, where he remains.”
