Leaving shoppers ‘impressed’ with its efficacy, one five-star shopper raved about their new gadget, sharing how it’ll save them money in the long run. They said: “Fab machine, you all need. Makes so many different drinks, it’s easy to clean and is well worth the price. It takes up a bit of room on the side [it measures at L 41.35 cm x H: 42.98 cm x W: 16.56 cm but it is something you wont regret buying at all. My kids love Starbucks, Costa etc. Well, this will save you loads of money as it can make so many different types of flavours of frappes milkshakes and slushies.”

Although for one shopper, its design wasn’t quite as good as they’d hoped, and they left a two-star review which read: “The Ninja Slushie is a great product and works really well — the results are fantastic. However, the vessel design lets it down. The way it’s constructed means liquid gets trapped in certain areas, making it difficult to clean properly. No matter how much you wash it, the joints seem to collect dirt and stains over time.”
Although Ninja was quick to reply and offer them advice with clear instructions:
- Completely break down the machine (the plastic clear vessel, the plastic pour spout, the condensation tray, drip tray, and Auger).
- Wash them in the sink with warm dishwater
- Reassemble all parts back to the machine
- Pour cool soapy water back into the vessel
- Press the “Rinse” button on the machine and let it cycle until the machine cuts off and repeat.
- Drain all the water inside the vessel
- Turn off machine
- Detach all parts from the vessel, rinse, and let it air dry standing up with the large opening face down to prevent water stains from appearing).
- Wipe down the machine with a wet rag and then with a dry rag.
Although for the most part, the gadget was loved, with one shopper marvelling: “I bought the Ninja Slushi so that I could make myself frappes, without the sugar or cost. I can say that it is now my favourite appliance. I use coconut milk, protein powder and sugar substitutes when making them and they turn out perfect. I use it daily to make a fabulous low carb frappe.”
