Shoppers and beauty enthusists don’t have too long to wait
Aldi is releasing brand-new beauty products as part of its next batch of SpecialBuy deals in the ‘Middle Aisle’. The supermarket says beauty lovers will be able to get their hands on a range of gadgets in its new selection of light-up LED beauty “must-haves”.
A spokesperson said: “Get ready to light up skincare routines as the supermarket welcomes back its popular beauty LED Assortment, complete with two new high-tech gadgets. Landing in stores nationwide from July 26, this coveted launch will be available for as little as £12.99.”
However, as with all SpecialBuys, shoppers may want to act swiftly once they come out, as Aldi says that “once they’re gone, they’re gone”. There are two brand new items landing on shelves next Sunday, July 26, including an LED Face Sculptor.
Aldi says that for those looking to “lift their skincare game”, the LED Face Sculptor (£12.99) is an “absolute must-have”. Using vibrations and red-light therapy, the “clever” gadget helps to “tone and lift”, leaving skin looking “radiant and sculpted”.
Beauty fans can also update their haircare routine with Aldi’s new LED Hairbrush (£12.99). Using red LED light and gentle vibrations, the tool is designed to help stimulate the scalp for “healthier-looking hair”.
There are a couple of devices the supermarket is also bringing back as part of the upcoming line-up. Aldi’s LED Wand (£12.99) is making a comeback, which the store says is “perfect for tackling specific problem areas with precision”, and delivers a targeted treatment for a “flawless finish”.
Another item making a comeback due to “popular demand” is Aldi’s “sell-out” LED Face Mark (£12.99). It features seven different light settings, and Aldi says it is designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines, redness, and inflammation.
There are similar LED beauty gadgets available elsewhere on the high street; however, they cost more and claim to offer additional benefits. For instance, Argos is selling the Sensse Professional LED Light Therapy Facial Mask for £140, which is said to “support skin rejuvenation”. Tesco is selling a ‘lifting’ LED Sculptor as part of a £65 Erth Skin London Regenerating Facial Set.
Are LED beauty gadgets good for skin?
According to experts, LED beauty devices are usually safe and effective for skin health. They are designed to use specific wavelengths of light to trigger cellular responses.
Red light is said to help boost collagen and reduce inflammation, whereas blue light targets and eliminates acne-causing bacteria. Experts claim that to see results, you need to use them consistently over a long period, and outcomes can vary by device.
At-home devices are convenient, but they may not be as powerful as treatments you get in a clinic. Quality can differ depending on how much you spend. It’s wise to choose reputable tools and use proper eye protection during your sessions.
Although LED light therapy is usually safe, and most people tolerate it well, if you have severe photosensitivity, like from lupus or certain antibiotics, or if you have active skin infections, you should speak to a dermatologist first. If you’re dealing with melasma, it’s a good idea to talk to a doctor beforehand, since the slight heat from some masks might make hyperpigmentation worse.
