Marks & Spencer shoppers have said its on-sale £31 fluffy blanket is ‘the best ever’ for snuggling up on the sofa in winter, and it looks just like a £215 throw from White Company
There’s nothing better than cosying up on the sofa under a snuggly warm blanket, and Marks & Spencer has just slashed the price of its Supersoft Faux Fur Throw by 30%. The medium blanket, which is usually priced at £29.50, is now £20.65, whilst the large is now £31.50 down from £45, and the extra large is £38.50 rather than £55.
Not only is it a great bargain for M&S shoppers, it’s also perfect for those who have been eyeing up The White Company’s Super Soft Faux Fur Throw but didn’t want to splurge on the £215 price tag. Both blankets have a luxuriously silky soft faux fur texture with a short pile, and are perfect for placing on sofas or beds for some extra warmth in the winter.

The M&S Supersoft Faux Fur Throw comes in eight different colours, including a grey version that’s a similar shade to The White Company blanket. However many of the M&S colourways have now sold out, leaving just the grey, navy, terracotta and tan colours still in stock.
It comes in a large rectangular shape, with the medium measuring 130 x 170cm, the large coming in at 150 x 200cm and the extra large sized at 200 x 220cm, creating a cosy extra layer during bed time or whilst watching TV on the sofa. It’s soft faux fur material makes it cosy and soft on your skin, and the Supersoft Faux Fur Throw has been given an Ultra Warmth rating by M&S.
This means that the fabric has been proven to show enhanced thermal performance when it comes to helping you keep warm. It’s also machine washable and can even be tumble dried at a low temperature, so you can keep it clean and ready for cosying up under with minimal effort.
At Next you can also nab a similar style with the Charcoal Grey Plush Fleece Throw which is priced between £12 and £34, which comes in three sizes and nine different colours. Meanwhile at Dunelm, the Soft Fleece 220cm x 220cm Throw is just £20 for those looking to nab a bargain.
However, shoppers have given the M&S Supersoft Faux Fur Throw an impressive 4.7 star rating out of five, praising it for its warmth and comfort. One said: “These are the best throws I’ve ever owned! I’m so pleased I bought two in the ‘Extra Large’ size. They’re perfect for snuggling up on the sofa.”
Another agreed: “This throw is lovely and cosy. Really soft. Fits double bed perfectly. Reversible lighter colour on reverse. Very pleased with it.”
The main issues shoppers faced with the Supersoft Faux Fur Throw were that it was a little slippery, with one saying: “Whilst it was beautifully soft and warm it just kept slipping off everything it was put on. Maybe the backing shouldn’t have been so silky.”
Meanwhile another wrote: “Unfortunately I cut the tag off before putting it on a double bed. It is not very big as a large size. Not much bigger than a single cover I have previously bought.
