Shoppers are heaping praise on the “cosy and warm” tights from Marks and Spencer, which have racked up rave reviews
Marks and Spencer’s shoppers can’t wait to get their hands on the brand’s sheer-look fleece tights, which are proving popular with those who want to stay cosy without sacrificing their style. Of course, a pair of thick-knitted tights makes the perfect addition to lots of seasonal outfits. But other times, fashion lovers will prefer a sheer look that keeps them just as warm.
Enter M&S’s £15 140 denier thermal tights. One shopper wowed by the find took to TikTok to recommend the product to others, writing: “Cold girlies need to RUN to M&S.”
As seen in @chloeepavlou’s popular clip, the tights sound seriously impressive. According to the product description, the thermal tights are fleece lined with a brushed inside for extra warmth but offer a sheer look.

If you prefer a different style, M&S also stocks a three-pack of 60 Denier Body Sensor Tights for £8, as well as the Autograph 10 Denier Ladder Resist Matt Tights for £10. The retailer also has the Heavyweight Lace Tights available for £12.
Impressed reviewers say the tights, available in a small, medium, or large, are true to size and feel great. Among the reviews, one person said: “Cosy and warm.” Someone else said: “Bought them for my mum a year ago and she loved them. Made me order 2 more this year! Said they’re very comfortable and warm.”
A third wrote: “Lovely warm tights that look great with knee-length skirts without looking too thick. Ingenious design!” Another said: “Nice and thick and warm – looks like I’ve got thinner tights over bare legs,” and a different customer called the tights a “must-have for the winter season.”
Unfortunately, reviewers also mentioned problems with “bobbles”, which could be a deal breaker for some. One such reviewer said: “Loved the look and feel of these tights – they bobbled on the thigh area (but only very slightly) after being worn under a skirt. Thought that I’d got away with anything worse until I washed them – hand washed in gentle washing liquid – and then the bobbling became worse.” A second agreed: “Only worn and washed a few times but the about of bobbles coming through is ridiculous.”
For her part, @chloeepavlou, who tested the tights, said she did notice bobbling around the gusset after wearing the tights, but she was still happy with the quality after washing her pair inside out. In a follow-up video, she shared: “I’m not too worried about it being all bobbly because who’s going to see it other than me? Really, really love these and I think they’re gonna be an absolute game-changer.”
For shoppers willing to pay a little extra, Uniqlo’s semi-sheer ‘HEATTECH’ tights might make an attractive alternative. Priced at £19.90, the tights come in medium or large and there are black, brown and dark grey colour options. Elsewhere, Peacocks sells black Sheer Appearance Thermal Tights for £8. Size options include S-M or L-XL.
