Marks and Spencer customers have been impressed by a pair of trousers that have been dubbed as perfect for summer. The high street store has plenty of trouser options, yet one has stood out to many shoppers.
The Crinkle Elasticated Waist Wide Leg Trousers are priced at £20 and come in black, chestnut and khaki. Marks and Spencer stocks the trousers in sizes six to 24, with the option of extra-short, short/petite, regular, and long-leg lengths.
The product description reads: “Add some texture to your favourite casual edits with these versatile trousers. They’re made in a classic regular fit with a wide-leg silhouette and a flattering, mid-rise, elasticated waistband.
“The all-over crinkle finish adds subtle enhancement, while two side pockets offer handy storage for your small items.” Many shoppers are happy with their trousers and have left five-star reviews.
One said: “These trousers are very comfortable and versatile as they can either be worn looking smart or casual.” Another added: “Quality and fitting of trousers are amazing, really flattering.”
Someone else commented: “These are really comfortable and lightweight. Ideal for summer, they are easy to style and don’t need ironing.” A fourth wrote: “Bought them to wear in the hot weather. Light fabric, wide leg. Love them.”
Despite the positive reviews, some shoppers have encountered difficulties when washing them. One said: “I loved the trousers when I first got them.
“They were a perfect fit and length. I washed them at 30 degrees on a delicate wash and they shrank. They are no longer loose fitting in the leg.”
Another added: “Loved then but they shrank even at 30! Disappointed.” Others thought the trousers were too wide for their style.
Marks and Spencer isn’t the only high street store selling crinkled wide leg trousers. Primark has Crinkle Wide Leg Trousers that come in seven different colours.
The £14 trousers come in mustard, green, khaki, taupe, tan, charcoal and black. Primark’s trousers come in sizes extra small to extra, extra large.
Meanwhile, New Look also has Crinkle Wide Leg Trousers in seven colours. The fashion store sells their trousers in camel, rust, dark brown, light khaki and light blue for £25.99.
The khaki and bright red options have been reduced to £19.49.
