A woman has claimed to have found a chocolate treat that’s even ‘better than mini eggs’ inside Marks & Spencer as she shared her initial thoughts when trying it for the first time
Shoppers are rushing to Marks & Spencer to get their hands on a new Easter-themed chocolate bar, which fans are saying are even ‘better than mini eggs’.
Marks & Spencer has officially brought back its own version of Mini Eggs – and fans, including Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis, are calling them “so much better” than the classic Cadbury treat, especially in terms if value for money. The M&S Speckled Eggs, priced at £1.75 for a 90g bag, are a much-loved treat in their own right, complete with a pastel candy shell and smooth milk chocolate centre. However, they have also released a brand new item which brought the speckled eggs to a new level.
The retailer has also launched an indulgent new Giant Speckled Eggs Crunchy Bar, which is a hefty 240g bar of cereal-flavoured milk chocolate packed with cornflakes, mini eggs and corn pieces. And shoppers have been desperate to try it, including a woman named Emma Jenkins, who took to TikTok to share her first thoughts when trying the chocolate bar.
“M&S has just released a giant mini egg chocolate bar, so let’s try it together,” she said at the start of her video, which showed her holding up the cardboard packaged chocolate bar. “I’m so excited.”
As she opened the packaging, she quickly noted how thick the chocolate par, as it contained tips that were similar to that of a Toblerone bar, only wider.
Emma also showed how you could see several bigger pieces of speckled mini eggs poking out from under the milk chocolate.
Revealing that she’d paid £7.50 for the bar, she went on to crack off a bite of the chocolate bar to try. She then went on to try a bite of it, and she was clearly impressed as she made several ‘mmm’ sounds of enjoyment while chewing.
Emma then went on to reveal a secret addition that had been hiding inside the chocolate.
“First, I did not realise there were crunchy corn pieces and corn flakes in there,” she said as she read off the package. “I was thinking ‘why does this taste really crunchy?’ That is unbelievable.”
She went on to explain that the milk chocolate was full of mini eggs, crunchy corn pieces and corn flakes, which she said made the flavour more caramel-like, which Emma said she really enjoyed, as she compared the flavour to that of a crunchy nut.
“It’s not just milk chocolate, that is so good,” she said. “This is so dangerous, because I could literally finish off this whole thing.
“I don’t know if I can last until Easter without another one of these. Please go try this!” she wrote in the caption of her post.
And she wasn’t the only one impressed with the chocolate bar, as viewers took to the comment section to share their thoughts.
“Omg this looks amazing!!,” one person wrote, while a second viewer said: “I’m trying as soon as my taste is back omg.”
