The Pure Cotton Cropped Palazzo Trousers come in three colours and have an impressive 4.6 star rating on the M&S website
Summer is on the horizon, and with the weather heating up, many of us are looking for floaty, lightweight and versatile staples that’ll keep us both cool and collected for both inside the office and out. Marks and Spencer has recently dropped some gorgeous seasonal pieces perfect for this, including a pair of trousers that shoppers are hailing for being ‘fantastic’ and ‘so comfortable’ in ‘hot weather’.
The Pure Cotton Cropped Palazzo Trousers come in three colours – black, sand and white – with perhaps the white choice being the most summery. Costing £38, they’ve just arrived on the Marks and Spencer website in these shades, having been popular last year (they sold out), and have already accrued over 50 reviews and an average 4.6 star rating.
Available in sizes six to 24, the trousers also come in three different lengths, catering to a range of statures (short/petite, regular and long). What’s more, it has an elasticated waistband that makes them super comfy on the stomach area yet flattering.
Finished with a wide palazzo design that suits a whole host of body shapes and sizes, the trousers have a playful, cropped design, which is perfect for sunnier days when sandals and ballet pumps need to be shown off just as much as the trousers.
If a longer length is preferred, the Melissa Green Palazzo Trousers from FatFace come in a mint green hue and in three lengths: short (26.5″ / 67cm), regular (28.5″ / 72cm) and long 30.5″ / 77cm. Meanwhile, for something a little more snazzy in terms of pattern, Roman’s Green Floral Leaf Shirred Palazzo Stretch Trouser is £36 and comes decorated in a beautiful leaf pattern that makes a real statement. Offering an ankle-grazing length, they’re a great option for pairing with white tops and blouses.

However, Marks and Spencer shoppers have loved this newly dropped style, with many saying how they ‘can’t wait for summer’ since buying them. One fan of the trousers left a glowing review, which read: “Just love the design of these trousers .. very wide but look fab on .. I’m a 14. Wash really well .. iron easily … Something different which M&S really delivered. I chose the black.”
Another added: “These Palazzo pants are fantastic, so comfortable and will be great in hot weather, the fit is perfect, and I cannot wait to wear them.”
Some people have even been coveting them since they appeared in the M&S range last summer in different colours, with one person noting: “Had my eye on these last year but were sold out, so snapped up a pair this year with a Sparks discount. Lovely lightweight soft cotton and on-trend piece. Love them!”
“These are incredibly comfortable and super stylish, can’t wait to wear,” added a fourth. “Bought black and beige.” Although they did have ‘one point’ – “They definitely come up big, I would size down.” So keep this in mind when ordering.
However, for those who did this or found the fit to be perfect for them, they’ve been praised as ‘the best’, with one pleased M&S fan raving: “Omg these are just the best and comfortable with the elastic waist. They look expensive and classy.”
