McVitie’s has launched a limited edition Digestive flavour that contains 30% less sugar – and biscuit fans can’t wait to try the sweet and spicy variety for themselves
It’s been over a century since Digestive biscuits first graced our tea trays – and their popularity hasn’t waned one bit.
Over the years, McVitie’s has treated us to a plethora of variations and flavours of this beloved biccy. And their latest offering might just become a new favourite!
There’s a real buzz about the limited edition product that promises a sweet yet spiced delight for your taste buds. So what is it?
New Foods UK shared a snap of the golden cinnamon flavoured Digestive biscuits on social media. They’re part of the light range, boasting 30% less sugar than the traditional recipe.
And judging by the flurry of excitement on Facebook and Instagram, it seems people can’t wait to give them a try.
One eager fan exclaimed: “I like the sound of these.” Another chimed in: “Sounds good – I love cinnamon.”
A third remarked: “Oooh these sound different!” And a fourth added: “They do look good!”.
However, not everyone was thrilled with the new twist, with some purists preferring the original recipe. One Digestive devotee pleaded: “Don’t mess with the Digestive. Leave it alone.”
So, will you be giving this flavour a whirl? You can snag a pack for around £1.25 from retailers including Morrisons and B&M. Just remember that as these biscuits are limited edition, they probably won’t be sticking around for long.
