The internet has gone wild for 2016 throwbacks lately, including Maya Jama who shared her favourite House of CB bandage dress from the era – and the style is having a comeback
No matter which part of the internet you visit lately, it seems we’re all obsessed with 2016. From sharing throwback pictures to reigniting some of our favourite trends from that era, it appears that 2026 might just be the new 2016, and even celebs are jumping on board.
Maya Jama recently re-shared her own throwback picture from 2016 where she attended the Mobo Awards in an olive green bandage midi dress, saying: “That House of CB dress was the oneeee”. House of CB had coincidentally already started re-stocking its signature bandage dresses last summer, including The Sculpt Halter-Neck Bandage Stretch-Woven Midi Dress which is almost identical to Maya’s from 10 years ago, and it seems fans did not want to miss out on replicating the look.

Of course, Maya’s exact style sold out years ago, but this new iteration gives you a very similar look that’s fresh enough to be worn in 2026, swapping its double shoulder straps for a single halter style that’s much more elegant and refined. The olive green shade that most closely resembles the Love Island presenter’s dress is now almost completely sold out (the Maya effect, perhaps?) but it’s still in stock in six other colours.
You can pick up neutrals like chocolate brown and ivory, or opt for something bolder like tangerine or lime green. The Halter-Neck Bandage Midi Dress has classic ultra-stretchy panels which help sculpt and smooth your body, with a halter neckline which offers additional bust support and a slit up the back to make it easy to move around in.
You can pick up the Halter-Neck Bandage Midi Dress for £169, but if that’s a little out of budget there’s some other great options around at the moment that tap into the 2016 bandage dress trend. At Ego, the Scoop Neck Mini Dress In Olive Green Bandage is almost identical to the House of CB version, except it has a shorter mini hemline and straight shoulder straps, rather than a halter. You can pick it up for £37, down from £48 in the brand’s sale.
Meanwhile at ASOS, the Bandage Checkerboard Halterneck Mini Dress in Olive is also on sale, down from £75 to just £22.50, with the same olive green shade and bandage-style design. However rather than horizontal bandage panels, this has a woven style which creates a chic diamond-print effect, helping it stretch in all directions for a comfortable fit.
