Available in sizes six to 24, the dark red dress has a satin printed round neck and has been described as ‘fabulous’ and ‘beautiful’ by shoppers who have already bought it
Marks and Spencer’s latest maxi dress is a hit with shoppers, perfect for the autumn season. The chic dark red maxi dress features a satin printed round neck and is priced at £59.
In just 48 hours, over 60 fashionistas snapped it up loving its retro vibes and floaty good looks. It comes in sizes ranging from six to 24, with options for petite and medium fits, though some customers advise that it tends to ‘come up big’.
According to the Marks and Spencer website the dress is “designed in a regular fit with a maxi-length skirt and features a bold floral print. The lace inserts and ruching at the waist add a flattering touch, while the long sleeves and round neckline give it a sophisticated look, reports Birmingham Live.

Some shoppers, however, have issued a warning about the length of the item, despite loving the overall design.
The size 12 measures 140cm from neck to hem and includes a back zip closure. One delighted customer raved about it as a ‘fabulous dress’, saying, “Easy to wear, great fabric, great all season dress can be worn with so many things.”
Another shopper said: “Just collected this from the store. It really is beautiful dress in a classic style. The fabric is smooth and soft and the lace detail gives it a bit of an edge. Be warned – it is very long – I am 5’7 and it is an ankle skimming maxi on me.
“I went up a size as there is no give in the fabric. I’m really looking forward to wearing this for events over Autumn/Winter.”
A third review highlighted its unique charm, they said: “Lovely dress with a retro seventies feel. I found it too big overall and had to return for a size smaller. I love the colours and the lace.”
One customer who found the dress too long and impracticable left a lower-rated review, they said: “Saw this in store and was drawn to it immediately.
“It’s a beautiful colour and the lace detail really adds – it has a very boho 70s vibe and the material is very soft and ‘drapey’. The only problem I had with it was the sizing.
“I’m 5ft7in and a regular size 14 so I bought the 14 regular but it absolutely swamped me and was actually trailing on the ground. I ended up having to buy a size 12 petite to get the right fit and even that is ankle skimming.
“I like a long dress so it’s not a problem for me, but it might not be for everyone.”
