Kevin King Yates, 31, and Reece Murgatroyd, 26, are wanted by police after a female police officer was punched and kicked in an alleyway during a sickening attack in Great Harwood, Lancashire
Police have launched a manhunt for a toupée-wearing thug and another man after a female police officer was subjected to a sickening attack in an alleyway. Lancashire Police have released CCTV images of two men wanted in connection with an assault on a female officer on March 20.
The image shows Kevin King Yates, 31, who is wanted on recall to prison, and Reece Murgatroyd, 26, who police wish to speak to in connection with an aggravated burglary. Both were seen on corner shop CCTV the day after the attack on the officer, which took place in Great Harwood, a town in Lancashire between Blackburn and Burnley. During the assault, which took place in an alleyway between 8.05am and 8.15am, she was kicked and punched repeatedly in the face.
She was not seriously injured, reports Lancs Live. Police have now released CCTV footage of the two men from a corner shop to help the public track them down
Kevin King Yates appears at the start of the video, which was taken on the evening of March 21. After he left the shop, the 31-year-old got into a grey Audi Q7, which was being driven by Murgatroyd.
He sometimes uses the name Damian Hard, and is wanted on recall to prison. He is described as 5ft 11ins tall, and is also known to currently have a brown toupee or hair piece. Police believe he is likely to be wearing the toupee, though he does not always.
Kevin King Yates has a heavily tattooed lower leg and has a sleeve tattooed on one of his arms, including a pair of dice and the words Las Vegas on his forearm.
Police also wish to speak with Murgatroyd in connection with an aggravated burglary. He is described as 5ft 7ins, of slim build with a Burnley Football Club badge tattoo on his right calf.
Members of the public have been warned not to approach either of the men and to call 999 if they spot them. A statement from Burnley and Padiham Neighbourhood Police said: “Both men know we want to speak to them. We would ask if you see them that you do not approach or speak to them.
“Instead call 999 as soon as possible. For non-immediate sightings email or call 101, quoting log 1168 of 19th March 2025.”
