TransPennine Express said: “Due to a passenger being taken ill on a train at Manchester Oxford Road some lines are blocked.
“As a result of the incident, Manchester Oxford Road station is operating with reduced platforms. Please note, some services will be operating from different platforms than you might expect.
“Please check the information screens at Manchester Oxford Road for your platform number, noting that these may change last minute. Disruption is expected until 14:00.”
