Police Scotland say enquiries are ongoing with an investigation launched as the death in Glasgow is being treated as ‘unexplained’

A man was tragically declared dead outside an apartment block after falling from a flat window.

Emergency services scrambled to the flat on Keal Avenue, near Great Western Road in Glasgow, just before 12pm today after receiving reports of a man having fallen from the window in the building, reports Daily Record.

Upon arriving, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Footage from the scene shows at least 10 police cars, vans and medics while a huge cordon was erected around the block. Officers could be seen standing behind the taped off scene.

Police Scotland has since launched an investigation and say it is treating the death as unexplained.

Officers say enquiries are still ongoing with a report due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We received a report of a man having fallen from the window of a property off Great Western Road in Glasgow shortly before 12pm on Sunday, 1 March, 2026. Emergency services attended, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
