A man has been charged with murder after a ‘lovely’ father was shot dead at a traveller site near Cricklade in Wiltshire
A man has been charged with murder following the fatal shooting of a much-loved 36-year-old dad – as two others were accused of assisting an offender.
Jimmy Ward, 36, was declared dead at the scene of the incident, a traveller site near Cricklade, Wiltshire, at about 8.15am on Sunday.
Now Shane Porter, 35, of Calcutt Park, Calcutt, has been charged with Mr Ward’s murder and possession of a shotgun without a certificate.
He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear via video link at magistrates’ court tomorrow morning (Thursday).
Eddie Porter, 74, and Tammy Brown, 42, both of Luton, have both been charged with assisting an offender and possession of a shotgun without a certificate. They have also been remanded into custody and are due to appear via video link at court tomorrow.
Tributes poured in for Mr Ward, who has been praised as a “legend” father and grandfather.
