Daniel Livie has been charged with the murder of a 68-year-old housekeeper who was reportedly found with serious injuries at her thatched cottage in Hampshire
A 39-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a housekeeper who was discovered stabbed in her cottage in a Hampshire village.
Gilly Livie, 68, was discovered by paramedics and police officers with severe injuries at her thatched cottage home in Cheriton, Hampshire, at 10.30am on January 9. She was declared dead at the scene and a post-mortem examination revealed she died from a stab wound to the neck.
A man was also discovered at the address and was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, Hampshire police said. On Monday, the man was arrested on suspicion of murder and transferred from hospital into police custody.
The force said on Tuesday: “This evening Daniel Livie, 39, of Winstreet Close, Alton, has been charged with murder.”
He also faces charges of making threats to kill in relation to a man on January 8. Livie is due to appear before Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
