Yasen Sharif, 27, died following an incident at Primrose Business Park, with police and the Health and Safety Executive investigating
A man has died following an industrial incident in Bootle. Emergency services were dispatched to premises at Primrose Business Park on Primrose Road at approximately 12pm on Wednesday (March 27), with an air ambulance also scrambled to the scene.
Merseyside Police confirmed on Saturday evening (March 29) that the man, identified as Yasen Sharif, 27, had passed away from his injuries. The force says the investigation is ongoing, with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) providing support.
A Home Office post-mortem examination is scheduled for Monday, March 30, and a file will be prepared for the coroner, reports the Liverpool Echo.
In a statement, Yasen’s family said: “It is with profound sadness and unimaginable grief that we announce the passing of Yasen Sharif at the age of just 27 years. Yasen’s death was a tragedy, and the circumstances surrounding how he passed are deeply heartbreaking.
“Our family is devastated and we are committed to seeking justice to ensure this does not happen again. Yasen was a beloved son, husband, brother and friend.
“He was a computer science graduate and was pursuing his Masters Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at Liverpool John Moores University. He was passionate, driven, and full of promise.
“He brought light, warmth, and happiness everywhere he went. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Yasen, or crossing paths with him, will remember his kindness, his spirit and the joy he gave so freely to others.
“He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Our family kindly asks for privacy during this incredibly difficult time, as we grieve this devastating loss.”
