Awap Halouf, of Hambro Road, Lambeth, south London, was charged with murder in connection with an alleged incident in Hounslow, west London on Tuesday where Haruun Hassan, 22, died
A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in west London last week, police have said.
Awap Halouf, of Hambro Road, Lambeth, south London, was arrested on suspicion of murder in Cardiff on Sunday.
The 21-year-old was later charged with murder and possession of a blade in a public place, the Metropolitan Police said.
The arrest comes after police and paramedics were called to reports of a stabbing at the junction of Bath Road and Great Southwest Road in Hounslow, west London at about 1.47am last Tuesday.
Cops attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service and found Haruun Hassan with serious injuries, the Met Police said.
Mr Hassan, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene despite the best efforts of paramedics, and an investigation was then launched, the force added.
Halouf has since been remanded into custody and will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court, south-west London, on Tuesday.
A 21-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of murder in Cardiff on Sunday, and has since been bailed pending further inquiries.
Haruun’s family continue to receive support from specialist officers, police said.
