Motorists are facing “severe delays” following a serious crash on the M6 as people head off for Easter breaks.
Emergency services are at the scene on the northbound carriageway between J32 for Preston and J33 for Lancaster South.
National Highways North West reports one lane is closed following a collision and there are currently delays of 30 minutes on approach to the incident. It is also causing tailbacks on the M61 northbound towards Chorley and comes as thousands of motorists head away for the Easter bank holiday weekend.
