A serious crash on the M6 has led to traffic being suspended in both directions after an incident near Bilsborrow.
Eyewitnesses report an air ambulance, police and fire service vehicles are all at the scene following a crash first reported at 3:30pm today. Delays of around 30 minutes are reported and traffic is being temporarily held in both directions between J32 at the M55 Interchange and Lancaster Service.
People have been seen out of their cars as traffic remains gridlocked.
