Two busy motorways near London are closed overnight and long delays are expected.
The M25 is closed clockwise within J25 (Waltham Cross) in the early hours of Wednesday, February 18 due to an earlier incident in which a lorry suffered a fuel leak. Contractors are on scene to complete emergency resurfacing works.
National Highways said traffic is being diverted via the exit and entry slip roads at this stage.
The M4 in Berkshire is also closed in both directions between J10 (Wokingham) and J11 (Reading) for emergency works after structural damage to a power line pylon near the motorway was found.
National Highways said that urgent repairs are required given the forecast of strong winds in the area.
The M4 is expected to remain closed in both directions throughout the morning peak period and long delays should be expected on local roads in the area of the closure.
This is an ongoing event and updates will be provided.
