Eagle-eyed viewers have noticed that one Love Island contestant was cropped out of last night’s finale, and did not appear in any of the montage footage to wrap up the series.
George Knight left many stunned when he left the villa shortly after his arrival at the beginning of the season, over “personal reasons”.
However, many realised that he wasn’t even mentioned during the finale, and flocked to social media with claims that he was “cropped out” of all clips.
“The way they cropped George out of the montage #LoveIsland #LoveIslandUK,” a Twitter user commented, as another joked: “The complete erasure of George is making me scream #loveisland.”
“The way they are refusing to show George #loveisland,” a follower noted, while one quipped that they had “erased” his “existence”.
George touched on his early departure from Spain last month, addressing speculation in an Instagram video. He said at the time: “I think moments like this give you a massive kind of perspective on the bigger picture, and as fun and as great my six days in the villa were, it’s obviously important for me to be here with my family, so thank you so much.
“It’s been, as I said, completely overwhelming, and a massive thank you to all of ITV’s welfare team and the execs who have been amazing. Hopefully it’s not the last you see of me, and looking forward to the year ahead.”
