Former Made in Chelsea star Louise Thompson has been raving about ‘the best foundation’ for covering pores and pigmentation that’s skincare based and comes in 51 different shades
Sometimes even the most frustrating things can turn out to have a silver lining, which is what Louise Thompson discovered after accidentally losing her makeup bag. The former Made in Chelsea star took to Instagram to share that although she’d left her full beauty kit at her in-laws house over Christmas, there was an upside – she’d discovered her new favourite foundation.
After rummaging through her drawers for some replacement makeup items, Louise rediscovered her Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Medium Coverage Foundation, which she raved about on Instagram. The foundation, which costs £42, combines makeup and skincare for a lightweight, medium-coverage finish that improves your skin as you wear it.

The Haus Labs Foundation is also a firm favourite amongst other celebs including Molly-Mae Hague, and is from Lady Gaga’s beauty brand, making it a true celeb-approved product. One thing that makes it so popular is its amazing array of skin benefits, which help boost your complexion with every wear.
There are more than 20 different skincare ingredients found in the Haus Labs Foundation, including fermented arnica which helps reduce redness and protects your skin from environmental stress. There’s also marine algae to help even skin tone, tomato leaf extract to combat oxidative stress and inflammation and squalane to help soothe and condition your skin, alongside plenty of other skincare saviours.
It’s not just the longterm skincare benefits that make the Haus Labs Foundation such a hit, though. It manages to combine a medium coverage foundation with a lightweight, second skin feel, and has a serum-like texture which blurs and smoothes your skin to give it a natural looking flawless finish.
The Haus Labs Foundation also has all-day wear with no caking or slipping, and it’s also fully buildable if you want fuller coverage. There are also 51 different shades to choose from, covering all skin tones and undertones, so you can find the perfect match for your complexion.
Louise may have been a new-found fan, but Sephora shoppers have also been highly impressed with the foundation. One wrote: “Best foundation ever! I am so fair skinned and also have rosacea and this is the best ever at covering it and making me not feel like a ghost!”
Whilst another agreed: “I ordered this after watching someone recommend it on TikTok. The foundation has the perfect consistency and blends out beautifully. I have combination skin but even after 8 hours, it still looked nice on my skin and I did not need to powder down my sometimes oily T-zone.”
Some, however, were less impressed, saying: “I bought the triclone foundation a few months ago and I was happy with the coverage, it looked natural on my skin. However, I bought the 030 and it was totally a wrong colour to what was advetised. It was suppose to be light warm, but it arrived as a pink undertone.”
However others were over the moon with the foundation, saying: “So beautiful on the skin. Perfect satin finish and the best shade match I’ve ever had!”
If you’re looking for a slightly less pricey option with a similar skin-blurring finish, Iconic London’s Super Smoother Blurring Skin Tint is now on sale, down from £28 to £14. For a truly bargain option, both Revolution’s Skin Silk Serum Foundation, £10.99, and E.l.f’s Soft Glam Satin Foundation, £8, contain skincare-based ingredients and offer a radiant, glowy finish.
