Louise Thompson and I are both a big fan of the Curaprox electric toothbrush, and after two years of use it still leaves my teeth feeling just as clean as after the dentist
It may not be as glamorous as an LED mask or an IPL device, but if there’s one beauty gadget that I simply couldn’t live without, it’s my electric toothbrush. Although you usually think of household names like Oral-B and Philip, it seems Louise Thompson and I are both big fans of the same lesser-known brand’s electronic brush after I spotted it on her vanity table on Instagram.
I’ve been using the Curaprox Hydrosonic Pro Sonic Toothbrush for almost two years now, and it’s definitely levelled up my dental health. It may not be as well known, but it works wonders at keeping your teeth clean – even my dentist has commented on it.
‘I was sceptical but this retainer cleaner worked miracles and saved me £400 on new braces’
Emma Louise Connolly’s skincare staple leaves her with a ‘whole new face’ in the morning
Now available on Amazon for £191.90, the Curaprox Hydrosonic Pro Sonic Toothbrush has become an absolute must-have for my daily routine. Thanks to some tight spaces between my teeth, I used to have to get regular cleanings every six months at the dentist to keep them plaque free whilst using a regular toothbrush.
But since I switched to the Curaprox Hydrosonic Toothbrush, I’ve only needed one extra session – which tells me exactly how good it is at keeping my teeth clean. It’s so simple to use and requires no setting up, adjusting or flipping between LED screens. You just charge it up, press the button and brush.
The Curaprox Hydrosonic Toothbrush has 7 different cleaning levels that offer everything from 22,000 to 84,000 brush strokes a minute (considerably more than you’d manage by hand) and the charge lasts ages – I would say I only charge it every 3 weeks or so, and it lasts just fine with twice a day use. It also charges via a USB cable that can be plugged in anywhere, and comes with an adaptor that can be plugged into your usual UK bathroom plug.
The handle is easy to hold and a good size without being heavy, and you get three different brush heads with it to make sure you’re getting all the tricky to reach places around your teeth and gums. There’s even a timer on it, which pauses to tell you when to move onto the next area of your teeth to make sure you’re brushing evenly and thoroughly.
Although it’s something I use every single day (and hasn’t failed me yet) I know £191 can be a bit out of price range for some. However over at Boots, there are currently tonnes of offers on on various Oral-B electric toothbrushes, which see some slashed from £300 to £115, or ones starting from £25 for the really money conscious.
However, for me, I’ll never be parted from my Curaprox Hydrosonic Toothbrush – it’s already saved me so much money in dental bills!
