Need to know
What you need to know as Lidl is launching its new budget air fryer alternative this weekend
Lidl launches budget-friendly glass air fryer: need to know – it looks a lot like Ninja’s pricey model
- Lidl shoppers could save a whopping £100 on their next kitchen gadget purchase with the supermarket’s latest middle aisle bargain.
- The budget retailer is launching its Silvercrest Glass Air Fryer for just £49.99 this Sunday, August 2 – a fraction of the cost of the similar Ninja Crispi 4-in-1 Portable Glass Air Fryer which retails for £149.99.
- Lidl bosses claim the new appliance has “heat-resistant glass containers that can be used for cooking and storage without needing to transfer food to another container.”
- The air fryer comes with four pre-set programmes including air fry, roast, re-fry and keep warm, making it a practical alternative to traditional ovens.
- This follows Lidl’s previous success with a Ninja Creami alternative. That was £130 cheaper than the original, proving the supermarket’s knack for delivering budget alternatives to premium brands.
- As with all middle aisle items, the air fryer operates on a “when it’s gone, it’s gone” basis, with popular products often selling out on the first day of release. The range of kitchen finds is not just limited to the glass air fryer.
- The supermarket has lots more items coming to stores this Sunday, August 2. Shoppers can pick from appliances, cookware and more.
