Lidl are bringing back the early 2000’s with a new range of velour tracksuits – as shoppers can get cosy while still looking glam in the iconic sets, and perfect for the colder seasons too
Lidl have brought some style to the middle aisle, as they rival Juicy Couture with brand new velour tracksuits. The bargain supermarket have just launched two colours of Ladies Velour Tracksuits for just £7.99 in cream and green colours.
Bringing cosy glamour to the cold and rainy days, the tracksuits scream early 2000’s, as velour makes a proud comeback. As London Fashion Week has been and gone, the new runway is in the Middle of Lidl now with these new hot tracksuits.
Back in the day, pretty much every A-lister was spotted in a velour tracksuit at some point especially Paris Hilton, and there was a time that owning a velvet tracksuit held a type of status symbol.
Now, thanks Lidl, you don’t have to fork out for a designer one either. The full clothing range will be available to shop in stores nationwide from Thursday September 25, and available while stock lasts – so you need to be quick.

Originally £85.99 it’s now down to £59.50 on ASOS. Revive the noughties and treat yourself to this soft and comforrtable tracksuit that is sold as a set.
Alternatively, M&S are offering their own chic and fashionable version with the Velour Zip Lounge Hoodie for (£20) and the Velour Wide Leg Joggers (£20). Bring extra luxe to your lounging with this snuggly velour hoodie and jogger set. Comfy regular fit, with an adjustable zip-through fastening. Added stretch ensures easy movement, while pockets provide useful storage.
Lyst reported that since September, searches for ‘velvet’ and ‘velour’ are up by 30%, and even Kim Kardashian added a velour range to her SKIMS collection, with the help of velour icon Paris Hilton to promote the new line.
Paris Hilton also admitted to Vogue that her love for the Juicy Couture tracksuit is as strong as ever. “I love Juicy sweatsuits-I’ve never stopped wearing them, I think they’re so comfortable and I love the colours. They’re great for travelling or just chilling at your house.”
In September, shoppers were ‘running’ to TK Maxx to get their hands on a viral Juicy Couture tracksuit that has an amazing pattern. Juicy has had a resurgence in recent years, after being incredibly popular in the 2000s, with their velour tracksuits becoming a staple of pop culture and Y2K fashion.
Eagle-eyed shopaholics have spotted that in the bargain store, Juicy Couture tracksuits are being sold in leopard print – and the whole thing will set you back less than £70.
