Fresh reports have claimed that Princess Kate has strong feelings about the recent scandal that has engulfed Prince Andrew, with one particular aspect making her ‘shudder’
Prince Andrew’s royal life is in tatters after relinquishing his titles and honours, and the messy aftermath is still rumbling on for the palace.
And as pressure mounts for Andrew to pack his bags and move out of Royal Lodge, a source has seemingly revealed what Princess Kate really thinks of the nightmare engulfing the royals.
Andrew recently announced he would be giving up the last slither of his royal status, just days before Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir hit the shelves. In it, she claimed Andrew sexually assaulted her three times when she was a teenager – allegations he vehemently denies.
Andrew’s long-term friendship with convicted paedophile Epstein has long blighted the public perception of King Charles’ errant younger brother. So much so that he is facing intense pressure to give up his home, Royal Lodge, which he has lived in since 2003.
With an “iron-clad” lease in place with the Crown Estate for the 30-room property, the only way Andrew will leave is voluntarily, with the King left no legal recourse to force him to move into a more modest home.
It has been claimed that Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, are poised to finally leave Royal Lodge, something Charles has been said to want for a long time now, but is insisting on two replacement homes being provided for them if they go.

If the former couple refuse to move out of Royal Lodge, they are set to gain two new neighbours in a matter of days. Prince William and Kate are set to move into their “forever home” of Forest Lodge as soon as possible, and are reportedly not to be keen to have Andrew as one of their closest neighbours.
William has allegedly been a driving force over the last few years when it comes to encouraging the Royal Family to take a firm stance over his disgraced uncle – and one of the properties that is said to be an option for Andrew and Fergie is Adelaide Cottage, the current home of the future king and queen.
The other home in consideration is none other than Frogmore Cottage – the former UK home of Harry and Meghan, from which they were swiftly evicted after the publication of the Duke of Sussex’s tell-all memoir in 2023.
A new report from the Mail on Sunday has claimed that Princess Kate is keen to have the Andrew issue resolved before the family move into Forest Lodge, and that one particular aspect of the ongoing furore makes her “shudder”.
“Catherine shudders at the thought of living so close to Royal Lodge while Prince Andrew is still in it,” a source was quoted as saying. “William wants him gone before they start to move in next week. It’s not about what Andrew doesn’t want to do anymore. It’s about what he’s going to be told to do.”
Kate and William reportedly initially had their eye on Royal Lodge for themselves when considering Windsor as their long-term home.
Just weeks ago, Kate was said to have had a close call when it came to an awkward possible run-in with Andrew, when she took her three children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven, to visit the set of the new Harry Potter TV series when it was being filmed in Windsor Great Park.
Andrew took his grandchildren to the set, narrowly missing Kate and the Wales children. One source said: “It was all a bit strange that he [Andrew] turned up, but it was lovely to see the children having a great time. They were busy looking at the Hogwarts Express and it genuinely seemed like a magical time for them.”
