The glossy and nourishing lip perfecter is a favourite of the royal and you can currently snap it up for less
Kate Middleton’s beauty routine is the envy of many and if you want to recreate her signature nude, natural lip, it’s now easier and cheaper than ever. In 2019, the Princess of Wales was seen sporting this “beautiful” product from Clarins, that has been reduced in the John Lewis beauty sale.
The royal wore the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in Rose Shimmer whilst attending a tennis match at Wimbledon. Since then, it has become one of the most coveted lip products around and is hard to find in stock online.
Originally £23, shoppers can now nab the nude-pink lip balm for £19.55 at John Lewis – a saving of 15%. It is also on Amazon for £19.80. Designed to hydrate your pout, the formula offers enough colour pay-off to give a ‘your lips but better’ look and provides a natural, glossy finish.

Now under £20, the tinted Clarins lip balm can be swiped on at all times, worn alone or layered over the top of your favourite lipstick. As well as being given the Royal seal of approval by Kate, the Clarins Lip Perfector has racked up plenty of top reviews over the years for those who want a non-sticky sheen to their lips.
One shopper wrote: “Not sticky, just very comfortable and hydrating but gives a lovely subtle enhancement in a super flattering shade.”
A second person explained: “I’ve been using these for years now and I’ve had all the colours. I’m never without one in my bag. Keep your lips in great condition while giving a hint of colour with added shine.”
And a third said: “I just love everything about this product, the gloss is so creamy not sticky at all, the colours are subtle but pretty and the natural a great one to use in the summer on the beach.”
While some users were a fan of the sponge applicator as it was “easy to use”, others would have preferred a roller as they “don’t care for the way the sponge like applicator feels.” For an alternative, consider the Lanolips Tinted SPF 30 Balm in the shade Perfect Nude, available at Cult Beauty for £8.99, or the Refy Lip Gloss in Rosewood, £16.
Elsewhere at the John Lewis beauty sale, the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick is down from £42 to £35.70. Princess Kate is believed to have worn this on her wedding day to give her a glowing, bronzed look.
Shoppers can also snap up one of Kate’s favourite mascaras for less in the offer – the Lancôme Hypnôse Mascara helps give the Royal her long, thick and volumised lashes. Typically £29, it has been reduced to £23.20 for a limited time.
