Jet2.com is the UK’s third largest airline
Jet2 has offered passengers a reminder over an everyday item you need on board to help prevent unnecessary delays. We’ve all got at least one bank card, of course, but not having it with you on a flight can really slow things down for staff.
On its website, the airline states that cards can help make its “service as efficient as possible”. Within the ‘onboard service and conduct’ section, specifically regarding payments, it notes: “To make our service as efficient as possible, we only accept card payments.”
Encouraging travellers to bring a card to place their order promptly without any hold-ups, the airline adds: “We’ve also introduced a few updates to contactless, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. So, please bring your physical card to use chip and PIN when needed.”
There are of course many other rules the airline wants you to remember. It’s worth bearing in mind that any alcohol bought on board must be consumed during the flight.
It cautions: “Only alcoholic drinks purchased on board may be consumed during the flight. Jet2.com reserves the right to serve alcoholic drinks at our absolute discretion.” Outlining further onboard conduct regulations, Jet2 makes clear that smoking and vaping are “strictly prohibited on all flights” in “accordance with safety laws”.
Should passengers fail to behave appropriately, the aircraft’s captain has full authority to refuse boarding. They can also take action against any individuals on board deemed disruptive, disorderly, or likely to endanger or cause inconvenience to fellow passengers or members of the flight or cabin crew.
It adds: “Anyone falling foul of this provision shall be liable to indemnify us in full against any liability or loss we may suffer as a result. In addition, they may be prevented from flying with us in the future.”
