Jermaine Jenas and his wife, Ellie, split after spending 16 years together and having four children, with the former footballer moving on with a girlfriend 12 years younger than him

Jermaine Jenas has shared a photo of his new girlfriend, Anne Leplaideur, for the first time since splitting with his wife of 16 years. The former Match of the Day pundit posted a mirror selfie while having one hand on his 31-year-old partner’s bum when waiting for a lift in Paris.

Jenas, 43, separated from Ellie Penfold, the mother of three of his four children, last year. Their separation followed his sacking by the BBC after complaints about his conduct.

The former footballer now lives a new life in Paris, where Leplaideur is from. They reportedly started dating late last year, according to The Sun.

Jenas’ family home near Barnet went on the market for almost £5million earlier this year. He and Ellie lived with their four children in the six-bedroom property for approximately two decades after buying it for around £3million in 2006.

He now regularly shares photos of himself in the French capital on social media. Jenas recently captioned one post ‘Bonjour’.

While there, the 21-cap England international attended the first leg of the Champions League semi-final between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain at Le Parc des Princes. The former TNT Sports pundit co-hosts a podcast called Wildcards with Jermaine Pennant.

Away from football, he has made several appearances on other podcasts to discuss his life. Jenas has also started a production company, now that he can do so after his dismissal by the BBC.

Jenas plays plenty of golf, too. He helped Team England defend their Reignwood Icons of Football title earlier this year at Robinswood Golf Club in Thailand.

The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is due to feature in current Spurs player James Maddison’s invitational tournament later this month. The event at The Centurion Club raises funds for various causes to support those less fortunate.

As for his ex-wife, she recently shared a post on Instagram telling her followers, “You don’t need a man.” That followed her seemingly doing some DIY with a drill.

Penfold announced her split with Jenas last year by saying: “I never imagined I would have to share something so personal with the public, but given the situation, I feel it’s necessary. After 16 years together and 4 wonderful children, Jermaine and I have decided to part ways. We will remain friends and continue to co-parent. We kindly ask that you respect our children’s privacy during this challenging time. Thank you, Ellie.”
