A woman was left gobsmacked after she found two rare items in a charity shop for just £4 each – and they could be worth hundreds of pounds with little to no effort
When it comes to rummaging through charity shops, shoppers are always hoping to stumble upon a steal. It appears fortune was firmly on the side of one woman who revealed her extraordinary discovery to fellow Monster High enthusiasts online.
She shared how she had wandered into her local charity shop expecting to come away empty-handed, as had been the case on countless previous occasions. However, against all odds, she encountered two collectible items – Monster High dolls. Posting a snap of her treasure on Reddit, she displayed the Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein dolls, writing: “Insane charity shop find today.
“I’m still in shock over finding these for £4 each in a local charity shop. The craziest thing to me is that it looks like they were bought for a child due to their condition and missing pieces.
“I don’t own any collector dolls and only restore second-hand dolls so this is a dream! Can’t wait to fix them and add them to my collection.”
Monster High dolls – especially first generation and executive collector editions – can fetch anywhere from £100 to approaching £800 depending upon scarcity and state.
On eBay, the Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein doll pairing is presently advertised for between £230 and £500.
Responding to her discovery, one user remarked: “INCREDIBLE FIND! I wish I could find Monster High dolls at thrift stores and stuff, but where I live Monster High doesn’t seem to be that popular.”
Whilst encouraging fellow bargain hunters to always browse the children’s section, the savvy shopper responded: “It was really unexpected!”
“They were definitely gifted to a child which is the craziest thing about it.
“This is maybe the third time I’ve seen MH in a charity shop, don’t give up your search! I hope you get lucky soon!”
