Usually £18, the priming day cream from Give Me Cosmetics has seen a major price cut as part of the brand’s latest birthday beauty box
A celebrity-loved retailer has launched a huge beauty box that saves skin and haircare fans almost £70 on a selection of their bestselling formulas. Give Me Cosmetics, now celebrating its ninth birthday, has launched the Best of Give Me Birthday Box, which is worth £94 but is currently priced at £25.
The Manchester-based cosmetics company has racked up a long list of famous fans, including Paris Fury, Michelle Keegan, Rita Ora and more. And this particular edit allows shoppers to try out a mixture of the brand’s most popular products without paying full price for each item individually.
Inside, customers will find nine full-size haircare, skincare and bodycare products in one bundle. As part of the deal, each item works out at £2.78, which is a significant reduction on their RRPs.
One of the most popular products inside is the Priming Moisturising Day Cream, which is usually £18 on its own – that’s only £7 less than the price paid for the entire box. The lightweight gel-cream packs a powerhouse ingredients list, including anti-ageing retinol, niacinamide and vitamin E.
While suitable for all skin types, it’s particularly well suited for those with oily skin due to its consistency. It’s designed to moisturise skin while creating a smooth base for foundation and tackling signs of ageing.

Packed with bestselling haircare, skincare and bodycare favourites, this collection is the ultimate self care treat.
Speaking on the moisturiser, one shopper said it was the ‘best cream I have ever used’. She added: “It’s lightweight, non greasy, and soaks into the skin beautifully. It also makes a great primer under foundation. I actually threw my primers away as I didn’t need it after finding this.
“I used to have combination skin oily in places and dry in places but since using this cream my skin has evened out, no more dry patches and less oily which makes my foundation look flawless instead of sticking to the dry bits. I can’t recommend this cream enough.”
Another added: “I am 53 and still have pretty good fair freckley skin. I got this as I tried it in a pack that my daughter got. I couldn’t believe how light it was. You need very little and it just disappears without any stickiness or residue. I liked it so much I have just purchased another 2 pots.”
However, it’s worth remembering that retinol isn’t suitable for everyone as it’s designed for ageing skin. It can also make skin more sensitive to the sun, so users should always wear an SPF during the day, too.
While retinol is typically for evening use, Give Me Cosmetics’ offering is safely formulated for daytime use. Another alternative for morning application is the No7 Pure Retinol, Vitamin C & SPF 30 Day Cream Duo at Boots, which is £39.95 . The formula combines three top dermatologist-recommended skincare ingredients in one convenient pot to deliver glow, anti-ageing and sun protection properties in one fell swoop.
Meanwhile, at Amazon this L’Oreal Paris SPF30 Day Cream is £7.49 and is formulated with pro-retinol and elasti-peptides to help smooth the appearance of wrinkles, firm and moisturise skin. Pro-retinol and retinol are both vitamin A skin products, but pro-retinol is milder, working slower but also a great place for retinoid beginners to start.
Inside the birthday box you’ll also find the brand’s bestselling Argan Oil & Coconut Oil shampoo, conditioner and hair mask for dry or damaged hair, a Peach Punch Sea Salt Body Scrub, Flexy Paddle Brush, Ultimate Face Fix Mask, Vitamin C Gel Eye Patches and Green Tea & Vitamin E Cleansing Balm.
Of course, no beauty box is a guaranteed hit for everyone. Some may find some of the products don’t suit their skin or hair type, others may have hoped for more colour cosmetics like the brand’s popular lip oils – but generally, the value is still fantastic for the price paid.
The hair mask has built up a loyal following too, with one shopper commenting: “I’m obsessed with the hair mask and cleansing balm and have been for so long – gorgeous little box.”
Michelle Keegan previously shared the mask on Instagram as part of an ad and said: “I got sent this hair mask from Give Me Cosmetics and I’m not joking, the results are amazing. Took it on holiday and haven’t stopped using it since.”
Another five-star review of the birthday box said: “Absolutely love all the products I received and continue to order. Quick delivery and amazing customer care.”
The Best of Give Me Birthday Box is available for £25 on the Give Me Cosmetics website.
