Turns out, these leggings from Amazon are a wardrobe staple for both Stacey Solomon and myself – and they are super comfy
Essex favourite and TV star Stacey Solomon has recently let fans in on her go-to outfit formula – teaming beloved leggings with a sharp blazer for a look that’s both polished and wonderfully comfortable. As someone equally devoted to a pair of stretchy trews, I immediately connected, being the proud possessor of the identical pair (well, several pairs actually) that Stacey swears by.
The cosy staple that’s captured both our affections is the SINOPHANT High-Waisted Leggings from Amazon. Stacey was spotted wearing a bright pink version, though the star revealed on social media she’s already owns more of them in ‘every colour under the sun’.
Whilst I’ve stuck largely to the reliable black style, I can confirm my drawer is bursting with them – and I’ve no remorse whatsoever. My devotion runs so deep that I typically stock up on multiple pairs in one go, with the 3 Pair Leggings Pack offering cracking value at £18.69 – working out at merely £6.67 per pair.
I stumbled upon the SINOPHANT leggings collection by chance during my quest for the perfect pair. With so very many different brands out there, finding the holy trinity of soft material, decent stretch and fabric that never goes see-through is more challenging than it has any right to be.
According to Amazon, these lovely leggings promise a ‘buttery soft material’ and ‘a broad waistband to smooth the stomach area and define the waist’. Not convinced that either of these things would turn out to be true, I felt it was worth giving them a punt for their £9.99 price tag.

To say I was blown away would be putting it mildly. Firstly, they truly live up to their ‘buttery soft’ billing whilst somehow managing to maintain their shape impeccably without even the slightest hint of drooping at the ankles.
Wonderfully stretchy, the high-waisted design delivers exactly as I’d hoped it would. As someone who prefers leggings that reach right up to meet my crop top, these feature a generous waistband that never digs in or creates that uncomfortable cutting sensation.
Another plus point is the length – no half-mast hangers-on here. They reach my ankles with ease and I’m a pretty lofty 5’9″. Available in a range of colours, including Stacey’s favoured pink, there is also my beloved black as well as grey, nude and even patterned alternatives.
Almost as important as the fit is the quality. Despite the low price point, these leggings are a far cry from cheapie see-through pairs I’ve preciously picked up on the high street. I can bend, flex and move with ease, without worrying about them ever be anything less than completely opaque.
The High Waisted Full Length Leggings are designed to be figure-flattering and supportive for all body types. They come in three sizes: One Size (Small–Medium), Plus Size (Large–X-Large), and Extra Plus Size (XX-Large). They fit, firm and flatter in all the right places to help me feel comfortable without ever feeling exposed.
So I may have purchased enough of these leggings to open up my own shop, but it’s because they are just so comfy, in my opinion anyway. Other brands I have found that come close include the Black Tummy Control Seamless Shaping Leggings from Next.
Available for a pricier £19 a pair, these are long in the leg and high in the waist for a more comfortable fit. They come in a selection of sizes and two different lengths.
Alternatively, the Good Move High Waisted Leggings are my favourites for the gym. Stretchy and easy to move in, they are £20 a pair at Marks and Spencer.
It’s not just me and Stacey raving about these lovely leggings. With a whopping 81,000 plus reviews on Amazon, one buyer said: “The most comfortable leggings I’ve ever worn!
