Made with medical-grade manuka honey, the balm boasts antibacterial properties and helps support the skin barrier and lock in moisture
With Mother’s Day around the corner, I’ve found the perfect gift for any mum this March 15. It comes as wellness brand Melora has cut up to 25% off its Manuka Skincare range, including a winter and spring skincare saviour that quickly became a daily essential for me.
My skin can be quite sensitive and reactive, so it’s safe to say that it struggles during the colder months thanks to the dipping temperatures and central heating. Pair that with the dust from my house renovation and flair ups were inevitable.
After trying countless products over the years to soothe my stressed skin and nourish dry areas, I found Melora’s Restorative Manuka Balm. And for a limited time, customers can pick it up for less than £15 in the sale.
The balm features high-grade 525+ New Zealand Manuka honey, which the brand says is the equivalent of medical-grade potency. Unlike traditional honey, Manuka honey is renowned for its antibacterial and antioxidant properties, which makes it a naturally effective addition to skincare.
In skincare, the ingredient is said to help support the skin barrier and reduce moisture loss, while calming visible redness and irritation. It can also promote a balanced skin microbiome and act as a natural humectant – in other words, it draws moisture into the skin.

A rich, multi-purpose balm formulated with premium botanical ingredients to nourish, hydrate, and restore skin health.
Usually £19.99, the balm is currently down to £14.99 in the sale. One of the reasons I adore it and take it everywhere with me is because it’s so versatile. It can be used as a lip balm, cuticle treatment, dry skin remedy, or hair-smoothing elixir, working to soften, soothe, and protect against dryness and irritation.
I’ve tried plenty of products that offer similar claims in the past, including Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant, which is £31. Also a multi-use skincare balm, the award-winning formula comes in a squeezy tube and has been a cult-favourite for almost 100 years. However, while it is certainly effective, I don’t love its fragrance and I much prefer not just Melora’s scent, but also the solid balm format, which makes for easier storage and application, never fearing a leak in my handbag.
The Melora Restorative Manuka Balm melts slightly with the warmth from your finger as you swirl it on the top, delivering enough product to apply to affected dry areas. It provides immediate relief without any sticky residue and doesn’t feel as though it needs to be constantly reapplied either.
I also appreciate the refreshingly short ingredients list, with no unnecessary fillers or synthetic additives – just a selection of natural oils like sweet almond and jojoba, paired with Mānuka honey and Vitamin E, so I know it won’t irritate my sensitive skin, either.
And I’m not the only fan, either, with the Melora website boasting dozens of five star reviews for the range. One shopper said: “Was surprised at how better my skin feels silky smooth and hydrated after using for a few days, always considered these things to be a gimmick, but it works.”
Another added: “I have severe eczema. Many other creams help but Melora Manuka Honey moisturiser seems to be able to calm and heal the ‘break out’ significantly faster. Old pigmented scars are also lighter in colour despite using the cream for a few weeks. So the cream is helpful in the acute as well as the chronic phase..”
One customer noted that they weren’t keen on the scent, writing: “I personally don’t like the smell, but it soaks in well and leaves my skin soft.” But another called it the ‘best moisturiser for eczema’ after ‘four years of trying’ to find something to soothe symptoms.
A fifth shopper wrote: “This product is really nice. its brill for little hands and kind to your skin. My son who suffers from eczema uses this with no problems and I will be buying more when on offer again.”
Another skincare balm that many users have praised for helping ease symptoms of skin conditions like eczema is the Balmonds Skin Salvation Intensive Moisturising Balm 30ml, which is £9 at Boots. The 100% natural barrier balm is designed to prevent and treat the symptoms of dry skin conditions with a gentle, fragrance-free formulation that locks in moisture, soothes irritated skin, and protects against water loss, helping to break the itch-scratch cycle.
The Restorative Balm sits within Melora’s wider Manuka Skincare range, which also includes a Purifying Manuka Face Wash and Manuka Moisture Cream . Both have been reduced as part of the sale, priced at £12.74 and £15.19 respectively.
The face wash is a gentle, low-foam cleanser infused with 525+ Mānuka honey to lift impurities while maintaining hydration. Ideal for sensitive or stressed skin, it cleanses without disrupting the skin’s natural balance.
Meanwhile, the Manuka Moisturiser Cream is said to be a deeply hydrating, antioxidant-rich cream designed to strengthen and protect the skin barrier. There’s also an option to buy all three skincare products for £38.98 instead of £53.97 – that works out at less than £13 per item. Shoppers can save up to 25% on the Melora skincare range for a limited time here.
