Virgin Media is offering up to £250 bill credit when households switch broadband providers
Households have just hours left to take advantage of a network deal from Virgin Media. As part of a limited-time offer, the firm will reward new customers with up to £250 in credit when they switch.
Customers currently with rivals such as Sky, BT, Vodafone, or any other provider can claim up to £250 in bill credit, which can be used to offset early termination fees. However, the deal ends in just a few days, on Wednesday, April 1.
The incentive applies to a range of Virgin Media’s broadband and TV packages. Households keen to switch to Virgin Media need to visit the website and enter their postcode to check whether the network services their area.
Then, at checkout, users need to choose the ‘One Touch Switch’ option, a novel system for changing broadband that ‘handles everything for you’. Once the order is submitted, Virgin Media will reach out to each customer with details on how to claim the switching credit.
The offer applies to a variety of broadband packages, starting from M125 Fibre Broadband (£23.99 a month), which is suitable for a two-person household with 5-9 devices. Or there’s the M500 Fibre Broadband (£25.99 a month) for a 6-8 person household and more than 10 devices. There’s also the Gig1 Fibre Broadband, which the network labels as its ‘Best Value Deal’.

Virgin Media is offering bill credits of up to £250 when new customers secure a broadband package.
This package costs £29.99 per month and is ideal for busy households that game and stream simultaneously. The £250 switching credit offer also extends to a variety of TV and broadband packages.
For instance, the Entertainment bundle costs £31.99 a month, providing 362 Mbps of broadband, 200 TV channels, and Netflix Standard. From 1 April, the package will also feature Sky Atlantic. Another choice is the Sport bundle, priced at £52.99 a month.
This includes 516 Mbps broadband, nine Sky Sports channels such as Main Event and F1, along with Sky Atlantic from 1 April. It also offers 200 TV channels and Netflix Standard. Film enthusiasts might favour the Cinema bundle at £42.99 a month.
This comprises 362 Mbps broadband, 210 TV channels, Sky Cinema HD and Netflix Standard. Alternatively, there’s the comprehensive Sport + Cinema bundle, costing £64.99 a month, which amalgamates the TV channel access of the previous two packages with 516 Mbps broadband.
In a rival offer, Vodafone will pay new broadband customers £200 switching credit, after they’ve paid their final bill. The service provider states: “No need to let your current provider know you’re switching. We’ll contact them for you and manage the transfer.”
Over at Amazon, the Fire TV Stick HD (Latest generation) is priced at £39.99. The streaming stick grants users access to thousands of complimentary films and TV episodes, as well as popular apps like Netflix, iPlayer and Prime (subscription fees apply).
Households interested in Virgin Media’s offer can find thousands of reviews and ratings of its service on Trustpilot. One individual said: “I’ve actually had a great experience with them. I’ve bought the full package, and my Internet speeds are absolutely amazing! Just did a speed test and I’m getting 982 download speed and 102 upload speed! Perfect.”
Another satisfied user commented: “Excellent, set-up was done with speed and efficiency. Highly recommended.”
However, not all the reviews were glowing, as one person highlighted a delay in having their broadband installed after relocating. They detailed: “Recently moved house and took three months to finally get connected. The team was helpful, but it was frustrating having to go through everything each time I spoke to someone new. Glad it’s now sorted.”
A fourth user lauded the provider’s customer service, expressing: “Everything went smoothly from beginning to end, the chap who came to install was very polite and explained everything clearly to my son, who was here to help me.”
